|Boone Hall Plantation, Charleston, SC|
By the time we finally made it over to Boone Hall, we had a little over an hour before they closed and the only tour that was still open was the house tour. "We'll take it" I said to the man selling tickets and we started my dream drive to the Plantation. Did I forget to mention that it was a dirt road, like sand and it had rained right before we arrived? When I parked and got out of the car, I was kind of shocked, it looked like I had gone mudding in my car. (Now that is a Road Trip!) Ah, the mud washes off and it was worth it. The drive in was beautiful, the whole place was breathtaking.
Nadia and I walked over to the Mansion and sat on the porch looking out at the oak trees, while we waited our turn for the house tour. The house tour did not disappoint, our tour guide was very nice and answered all of Nadia's questions.
I wish we could have stayed longer, but it was time to get back to the "Caboose" for one more night camping and then head home and unpack, do the laundry and clean the car :( What a GREAT Road-Trip Vacation we had!
