KOA Deluxe Cabin

We were so excited to arrive at the Townsend KOA in the Great Smoky Mountains and could not wait to check out our cabin.  We were greeted by a very friendly and helpful lady at the front desk and given directions to our cabin.  The driving is a little tricky the first time you try to find your cabin, but after that it was like my car new where to go.

What a cute cozy cabin this was.

The cabin had air conditioning.

A kitchen. (pardon our mess in this photo - we over packed)  The kitchen came with a coffee maker, small fridge, sink, microwave oven, toaster, plates, forks and knives.  There was also a small kitchen table and TV.

The bathroom had a toilet, small shower and sink. Very nice.

This was the first bedroom off to the side as you walked in.  it had two bunk beds.

There is a nice couch to relax on.

And this was the main bedroom.  It had a nice bed and lovely view of the river outside.  I let my sister have this room since she had to carry the luggage and pack up the car since I was injured.  She really enjoyed her room.  I slept on the bottom bunk in the other bedroom, while Nadia slept on top.  It was not bad and my feet did not touch the wall.

Now onto the outside...

You had a nice deck.

A great view of the river.  You could watch people tubing and kayaking.

You got a gas grill to cook with.  We made steak and baked potatoes the first night and then it was hamburgers and hot dogs the rest of the vacation.

You also got a fire pit.  It was just so nice.  I brought a double burner stove with me and I was able to make us sausage and pancakes.  I made bacon in the microwave for breakfast and we would sit out on the deck and have our breakfast with hot coffee as we admired the view of the river.  Very relaxing.

We would stay here again.
