Tips for Traveling the Disney Water Parks

Let's not forget the WATER PARKS!! Disney's Typhoon Lagoon - Has water slides for the big kids and the little kids.  Yes, there is a small little slide for little tots to ride an inner tube on in the tots section.  It is cute and I was so thankful they had one for Nadia to ride when she was little. She just wanted to hang out there for the rest of the day. The park also has a giant Wave Pool.  Hold onto your little ones in this pool.  I was just walking through the water with Nadia (who was about 3 or 4  yrs. old at the time) to get to the little tots section and the wave came and she went flying between my legs.  It was a pretty strong wave.  Now that she is older, she loves the Wave Pool.

There is a family inner tube ride where you can fit like five people in one inner tube.  As a single parent, re think this ride unless your children are older and can help you carry the tube.  It is very big and kind of heavy (at least I thought it was), and I had a hard time carrying it myself and no one offered to help.  It was a very fun ride, but I needed to wait til Nadia could help me carry the tube.

My favorite attraction was the Lazy River.  You just grab a tube and float with the current around through the park, over and over, for as long as you want.  Very relaxing.

(Word of caution: do not wear a brand new bathing suit, the chlorine is very strong and we had faded bottoms by the end of the day)

Disney's Blizzard Beach - Is another fun water park.  This one is themed like a ski resort.  Unlike Typhoon Lagoon, it has more slides.  Blizzard Beach is the bigger water park and also has the wave pool, tot area and float area. We have enjoyed our time at both parks. Blizzard Beach has lockers, changing room and food available.
