We Ate Lunch in the Beast's Castle

Be our guest Beauty and the Beast
The Beast's Castle
Today we spent the whole day from morning and into the night at the Magic Kingdom in Orlando, Florida.

Once we got our bags checked, we were off into the park.  I had arranged our three fast passes ahead of time AND I booked us a special lunch at the Beast's Castle which is actually the Be Our Guest  Restaurant.  I had ordered our lunch and paid for it all on-line before our trip.  All we needed to do,  was to show up at our scheduled time, which was one o'clock.  This was the first time I had ever done this. Technology!!  I was so excited because Beauty and the Beast is one of my favorite Princess Movies.  Oh yeah, Nadia likes it too 😍

But, before we ate lunch we got down to business, by riding rides.

Nadia was pretty upset with me, because I could not get a fast pass for the Seven Dwarfs Mine Train. I figured we would just run there first.  The line was 90 minutes long and I made us wait in it. (Bad Mommy)  We survived.  The ride was fun.

If you want a spoiler, you can watch this video I found on you tube from Theme Park Review.  They filmed the whole ride and then give a little commentary at the end.

After we were done, we went on the Little Mermaid Ride and then off to Frontier Land.  We went on all the rides on that side of the park, as we made our way back over to Fantasy Land for our special lunch.

We got in line at the Be Our Guest Restaurant.  When it was our turn, I gave my name and we were each handed a yellow rose to take with us into the "castle".  We were then met by another staff member who went over our order with us to make sure it was correct.  This is also where you would place your order and pay if you have not done this on-line already.

Then we were allowed to pick any room and empty table that we wanted.  There were three rooms to pick from.  It was a hard choice and Nadia was wide-eyed.

We first entered into the ballroom.

And then there is the mysterious "West Wing".

We could not find a table in the West Wing, so we decided on the Castle Gallery Room.  We found a table and you just place the rose on the table.  Nadia asked if she could look at the West Wing while we waited for our food.  I told her she could.  I sat and wondered how do we get our food? No one has come around.  Then Nadia comes running to me, "Mom! Mom! come quick I found us a table in the West Wing!  Come on!!!!"  Ok, I am coming, I grab the rose.

I do have to say that this is a neat room.  I grabbed our utensils, which was actual silver utensils (not plastic).  I also got us our drinks.

So the rose, is the locater for the server.  Our food came rolling in.  I was a little embarrassed.  That poor server was probably like what the heck?  The rose was showing they were in this room and now there in another room.

So here is what I got: The Croque Monsier (at the time of this post it was $13.99)  It was a grilled sandwich of Ham, Gruyere Cheese with Bechamel and Fries.

Here is what Nadia got:  The Carved Roast Beef Sandwich.  It came with a horseradish Blue Cheese Sauce (which I would have Loved!), but we were able to order it without the sauce. (at the time of this post it was $16.99)

We both enjoyed our lunch and it was now time to eat our dessert that I had ordered for us.

I got the Triple Chocolate Cupcake ($4.99 at the time of this post)

Nadia got the Lemon Meringue Cupcake ($4.99 at the time of this post)

Wow, the cupcakes tasted really good.  As for the beverages, I had opted for just two plain Adult fountain drinks.  ($3.29 each at the time of this post)

According to the menus I think lunchtime would be cheaper (depending on what you order).  You can view the menu's here.

Also, here are some more pictures of the West Wing.

Every now and then the lights would flicker and the Beast would growl.

Even though it was an expensive dinging experience for the budget minded.  It was a very neat place to eat for a special occasion.  Nadia was getting ready to start high school the year after all.

We did enjoy ourselves.

Afterward, we continued riding the rides.

We stayed for the firework show.  Just the best! They even had different lights shine on the Castle as they told a story.  It was a great ending to a very long, but fun day.

My sneakers are so old, that by the end of the night I just wanted to throw them as far as I could.  My feet were killing me.  Yeah, I am going to just blame the shoes and not that I am out of shape and getting older.  So yeah, it was the shoes 😝

We both could not wait to get to our beds.  That night, it was the longest walk from the bus drop off to our hotel room, but we made it.
